Two things make PikeSolar different from almost any other renewables consultancy.
The first is our exclusive focus on being able to deliver a complete service to land and building owners, developers and financial specialists in the sector. All can benefit from the expertise and experience the company has developed over the years. The second aspect, and one which feeds directly into that expertise and experience, is our people.
Leading the team is our chairman and managing director, Richard Pike, also chairman of specialist architectural practice – RPA, who has had over 40 years of successful experience in the planning and architectural business, with some 3,000 HA and other houses completed in that time, as well as more than 300 major commercial projects. He was also the developer of the market leading ‘Vantage’ pre-configured system with Kingspan, conforming to the MMC.
Richard believes strongly in developing long-term business relationships built on mutual respect, and is highly regarded by both clients and contractors alike. His passion for integrating architecture and the environment to develop unique, sustainable projects led him naturally to the area of renewables. Showing the same dedication and thoroughness that has marked his career to date, he has travelled the world researching applications, products and techniques.
The result of that extensive study is PikeSolar Limited, a UK company that has pioneered the twin sciences of renewables planning and implementation. A team of people that strives to use its massive expertise in both fields to ensure our customers’ projects are sustainable and cost effective. Alongside the UK business, a U.S. arm, PikeSolar LLC, is similarly dedicated to bringing economical and efficient renewable power to a host of blue chip customers.
With many years practical planning and construction experience in the Housing Association/Local Authority arenas, Paul is a key member of the team and central to its ongoing success in the renewables sectors. Respected by planners and developers alike, his is a central role in this area of solar development as well as on the broader PikeSolar front.
Logistics and research director. Richard Pike’s elder son James brings strong appreciation of the practical and technical aspects of both product and installation performance modelling. Working alongside our installation partners in the UK, James also has responsibilities in the U.S. company for site analysis and installation planning.
Richard Pike’s younger son, is the company’s Communications & Finance Director. His early background in commercial photography and the general marketing environment translated easily into the communications role; while his financial abilities have been honed in a similarly practical approach, which now sees him handling day-to-day administration of the company financial affairs with a deft touch.
